The Waunakee Community School District is proud to represent a strong tradition of excellence, unity, and school spirit. Our district brand is more than just a logo—it reflects who we are, what we value, and how we present ourselves to our students, families, and greater community.

To protect and strengthen this identity, all staff and stakeholders are required to submit any materials containing the Waunakee Community School District logo or the Waunakee Community High School logo for review and approval.

Co-Curricular Programming Expectations and Information 2026-2027

All students interested in participating in Waunakee Community High School Athletics are, along with one parent/guardian, required to review and sign-off on the Waunakee Community High School Co-Curricular Handbook each year.

We also offer in-person meetings for a more interactive review of the Code of Conduct materials. This year’s in-person meetings are scheduled for:

The sign-off for reviewing and consenting to the Code of Conduct materials will take place during the registration process when you register for an athletic activity in Infinite Campus.

The co-curricular handbook and consent for treatment forms MUST be reviewed and completed as part of our online athletic paperwork within the BOUND registration system.

Travel expectations for our athletics/activities programs - each student must ride and return from practices, contests, performances, events with their team/group unless proper arrangements are made before leaving on the trip.

Lamers Bus Lines or School Vans will be provided as a primary mode of transportation.

Coaches/Advisors will provide a Google Form for Alternate Transportation needs during their season.  All situations are handled between the coaches and participants/parents and are no longer through the athletic office.

The calendar below outlines the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) start dates, practice dates, competition windows, and tournament schedules for each high school sport during the 2026-27 school year. These dates are established by the WIAA and serve as the official timeline for interscholastic athletics across Wisconsin.

WIAA High School Season Dates

To maintain a safe and orderly environment at our Warrior home events, we ask that parents review and help enforce the following expectations:

K-4 Students

• All K-4 students must attend the game with a parent.
• All K-4 students must be seated with their parents during the game. Do not run around the stadium or gyms unattended.
• Concessions are available to K-4 students at halftime and quarters.
• Please return to your seat immediately after going to concession stands or restrooms.
• No footballs, soccer balls, kick balls, etc. are allowed in the stadiums or gyms. They will be confiscated by game supervisors. There is no ball playing, tag games, etc. allowed in the stadium or on the fields behind the stadium, or in the gyms.
• Do not stand along railings. Sit in a seat with parents.
• Always exhibit good sportsmanship: (Be respectful during the National Anthem, school songs, and player introductions. Never boo or yell at officials or opposing players. Cheer for the Waunakee players. Represent Waunakee in a positive manner.)
• Remember, you should be going to the game to watch the game.

5th & 6th Grade Students

• 5-6 students should attend the game with a parent.
• 5-6 students must be with their parents or in the designated section, for football it on the East end of the stadium.
• 5-6 students must be seated during the game. Do not wander around the stadium or gyms.
• Concessions are available at halftime only for 5-6 students sitting in the reserved 5-6 section.
• Students should return to their seat prior to start of the second half.
• No footballs, soccer balls, kick balls, etc. are allowed in the stadium. They will be confiscated by game supervisors. There is no ball playing, tag games, etc. allowed in the stadium or on the fields behind the stadium.
• Always exhibit good sportsmanship: (Be respectful during the National Anthem, school songs, and player introductions. Never boo or yell at officials or opposing players. Cheer for the Waunakee players. Represent Waunakee in a positive manner.)
• Remember, you should be going to the game to watch the game.

7th & 8th Grade Students

• 7-8 students may be asked to show their student ID when entering a high school event.
• 7-8 students must sit in the designated section on the West end of the stadium. They can also sit with their parents.
• 7-8 students must be seated during the game. Do not wander around stadium or gyms.
• Concessions are available at halftime and quarters only for 7-8 students sitting in the reserved 7-8 section.
• Students should return to their seat after going to the concession stand, which is located next to the middle school seating section.
• No footballs, soccer balls, kick balls, etc. are allowed in the stadium. They will be confiscated by game supervisors. There is no ball playing, tag games, etc. allowed in the stadium or on the fields behind the stadium.
• Always exhibit good sportsmanship: (Be respectful during the National Anthem, school songs, and player introductions. Never boo or yell at officials or opposing players. Cheer for the Waunakee players. Represent Waunakee in a positive manner. Be respectful of other students and adults attending the game.)
• Remember, you should be going to the game to watch the game.

Waunakee is using the same ticket vendor as the Badger Conference, BOUND. The Bound App is FREE to download on your mobile device (iOS and Android) and also allows you to purchase single game tickets for $5 + processing fees at any Home Varsity/Junior Varsity events we charge admission to.  

Purchase of Single Game Tickets are available only during the season for the following events:
Fall: Football, Boys Soccer, and Volleyball
Winter: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Gymnastics, Boys Hockey, and Wrestling
Spring: Girls and Boys Lacrosse, and Girls Soccer

Items to Note:

• Family Passes are available to purchase for $150. 
• High School students can purchase a Student Activities Pass for $50.
• Families that have more than 6 immediate family members will need to contact the Athletics Department for a special code to purchase.
• If families need assistance with ticket prices or student passes, please consider reaching out to the Student Financial Assistance Fund. 
• If the app is not loading your ticket at the gate, we can look up the name of the ticket holder for you on our system. If you are using a family pass, we will need to know the name of the person in the family that bought the passes.

Senior citizens of the District (persons 62 years of age or older) are eligible for lifetime membership in the Golden Card Club which shall permit them to attend all K-12 activities of the schools, including athletic events, free of charge. This does not apply to WIAA tournament events. Application for membership must be made in person at the Waunakee Athletic Office at Waunakee Community High School or at an admission gate when tickets are sold. These guest passes shall represent a small token of appreciation from the District for all that the District’s senior citizens have done for the schools over the years.
