Waunakee offers exciting and dynamic Summer School morning programs for students who will be entering grades 4K - 12 grade in the fall.
June 23 - July 31, 2025
Monday -Thursday mornings, unless noted.

We strive to involve enthusiastic, well qualified educators and support staff in our summer school program and look forward to you joining our exceptional staff.

Paper applications are not accepted. All positions will be posted on this website and must be applied for online. All positions are open until filled. 

We are currently hiring teacher and para positions for Summer School 2025.

Information about applying to be a high school teaching assistant will be emailed to age eligible students and their parents on February 17, 2025. The posting for Summer School Teaching Assistants will go live at that time.

2025 Work Day (Teachers, Para-Educators, Classified Staff, Teaching Assistants)

Attendance is required for all staff

Teachers, Para-Educators, Classified Staff, and Teaching Assistants:
Teachers, para-educators, classified staff, and teaching assistants are compensated for this orientation session at their hourly rate of pay. For staff paid by contract, this time was included in your contract. Attendance is mandatory.  Failure to attend will result in your contract being docked. For staff paid by True Time, you need to sign in at the time your orientation starts.

Teaching Assistants: Wednesday, May 14th at the HS Small Auditorium during contact time 9:45 - 10:30

Camp Invention Teaching Assistants:  Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.  at the Arboretum Lunchroom

Camp Invention:  Monday, June 16, 2025  at 7:15 a.m. at the Arboretum Lunchroom

Arboretum Staff:  Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at the Arboretum Lunchroom 

Heritage Staff:   Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at Heritage LGA by the front office

Prairie Staff:  Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at Prairie Break Out Space

Camp Invention 2025 will run 6/16/25 to 6/20/25.

Summer School classes will run 6/23/25 to 7/31/25.

The 2025 Summer School Catalog will be available on March 1, 2025.

Waunakee Community School District offers many exciting, challenging and above all FUN classes to engage your child in summer learning.  Courses are available for children from 4K thru 12th grade and include enrichment, remedial, music, strength and conditioning and swim lessons.
